What's the difference between blogs and articles?
Are they not both articles?
Yes and no.
They are both articles, but there is a definite distinction between the two that gets clouded so frequently.
Articles are written content designed to be informative or instructional. These are the most common, published as news items, procedure manuals, or in-depth answers to questions.
On the flip side, blogs serve a unique purpose in the realm of written content.
These are articles outlining a scenario, problem, issue, idea, or simply an opinion. They can also be short stories or day-to-day ramblings.
Their purpose is to elicit responses from the readers either through direct comments or set up to invite and incorporate other like-minded readers to join in the conversations.
So, in short, If you write for a print media audience, you are a writer, and if you write for an interactive media audience, you are a blogger.
