"The Internet is more for entertainment than for business."
Yes, we've heard that over and over and for the most part, it has been true. There are billions of web pages out there that have absolutely nothing to do with what you need, or what your business needs at that moment and trying to sort them out is a waste of money and time.
Some of you have taken the advice of Internet 'gurus' and had websites made for your business but soon found out that nobody visits them. Then you find out that if you spend a few thousand more dollars, you might just get your site ranking improved so that others may find you more easily.
Because of these uncertainties, and others, many of you have selected not to use the Internet for business, unless you really have to.
And, to make matters worse, recent changes to web site address clasifications means the hay stack containing the needle you were looking for, just got 10 times bigger.
It's no wonder that 85% of all businesses in this industry are not using the Internet as their main information and communications tool.
It's time for a change!
It's time that this Internet became a tool that has real world, every day, practical uses and benifits.
It's time that this Internet be structured for our needs....not the other way around.
The first step in being able to work with this medium is to get to know it a little better. Some of you may be quite profficient and to you, I would say "Send us your articles and tips to give us all a little more 'edumacation'.
Others may not be so we'll start at the beginning.
The following articles will shed some light on what this "Internet" is all about and how we can effectively use this tool to start improving our businesses without wasting money.
Enjoy!
