The day after I completed a 4 wheel brake job for this lady, she returned to the shop and started to take a strip out of me. "When I dropped the car off, all hubcaps were aligned properly.
Don't you care about the vehicles you work on? What else did you mess up when you worked on my car?"
Obviously, there was nothing I could say that would settle her down, so, I strongly appologized and proceeded to remove and rotate the hubcaps so that all the emblems were level to her satisfaction.
She left, in a huff, saying "Pay attention, next time".
Driving to exit our lot, she had to do some multiple turns between the rows of parked cars and seeing my opportunity, I took a short cut and ran to the exit just in time to meet and stop her.
I pointed out to her that her hubcaps had "relocated themselves".
While she walked around her car with a confused look on her face, I explained to her that some tires turn faster than others while turning.
It was amazing to see the color in her face change so drastically.
We enjoyed free donuts from her for the next two weeks.
