The Issue: We, in the service industry, have no guidelines to properly set tire pressures on customers' vehicles.
Everyone's talking about the factory-recommended tire pressures that are posted on the door pillar or in the owner's manual.
But, what happens when the owner replaces the tires with brands other than what was factory-equipped or ones rated for higher maximum weight and higher maximum pressure or, even worse, a lower rating?
